The SLS Podcasts

Podcasts created for the Stress Less with Mindfulness (SLS) course.

Most of us find some level of stress motivating and energising. However many of us also know how it can lead to unhelpful reactions which can lessen our happiness and our productivity. Stress can easily tip over into anxiety or depression.

If you are lucky, you will have already learned to recognise stress in your life and adopted strategies to counter stress. Perhaps you take time out with friends or go for a walk in the park. You may find exercise or art or listening to music helpful.

Mindfulness does not replace what you have already found useful; it offers an approach that you can integrate into your lifestyle.

Evidence

“This is, to the best of our knowledge, the most robust study to date to assess mindfulness training for students, and backs up previous studies that suggest it can improve mental health and wellbeing during stressful periods” J Galante, Cambridge University
